Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I recently purchased these bands and read all of the directions to be safe. I spent the extra money on these because reviews of the cheaper bands claimed that they often break. Well the extra money spent appears to have been wasted because I was just hit in the chest with a 20 lb band that was at full tension when it pulled through an unwelded o-ring. I say unwelded instead of failed because there are no signs this had ever been welded, which is unacceptable considering how these are used. I am extremely lucky that the band did not hit me in the face or below the belt. As it is I have a very painful welt across my chest and feel as though I have received a lashing. I guess this is what I get for trusting the workmanship of this company. I have attached pictures of my chest and the unwelded o-ring (top) compared to a welded ring. I will also be writing the company about this and suggest that anyone that has these bands inspect all parts before use.
