Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

The unit itself functions great. Three fan speeds to get the job done, the ability to turn off the LED lights on top of the unit, a timer, relatively quiet, and the machine moves air directly up, which I like. Great aesthetics as well. I'd be all over an all-black version of this. However, the machine puts off a strong plastic smell as some other reviewers have reported. I opted to run the machine in the well ventilated area for 3 full days prior to installing the filter, however, this did not help as much as I'd hoped. After installing the filter and placing in my room of choice, my home smells horrible to the point I need to open the windows to get the smell out. If they can fix this smell issue other reviewers have described, this would be a great unit and I'd replace my other air purifiers in my home and office with these beauties. For now, back to Amazon it goes. EDIT: Levoit changed their previous product page from the Core 300 to simply an air filter to mask the poor reviews regarding the smell. This is shady business. Be careful dealing with an organization who hides their product reviews.
