I researched food processors and decided to get the Breville. I usually try to get the best on the market and then I will have it for a very long time. ( My Kitchen Aide mixer is over 30 years old). I recieved the Breville approximately a month and a half ago. Initially, I had been very happy with the Breville's performance. Today that changed. I was making Almond butter and the machine had been running for just over a minute when I stopped it to add some salt and scrape the meal off of the sides. When I tried to put the lid back on, I realized that the inner plastic of the lid had melted down onto the metal part of the S blade and had hardened. Also the inside of the lid where the metal intersects had melted and hardened. I called the company, and they are replacing the bowl, lid, and S blade. My question, which they could not answer, is why this happened, and will it happen again? Has anyone else had this problem?
