Alexis and Viktor, interesting but I grappled with too many things. First Alexis, she is an 18 year old hooker taking care of her younger sister who tends to steal things to help out. Now mind you they are struggling to survive so Alexis is just doing what she needs to do put food on the table, roof over their head and keep her sister in school. One night Alexia meets up with here pimp (with a heart of gold) and learns she is being payed quite a bit to just dance for someone. That is when she meets Viktor at his castle way out in the middle of no where. He sits behind a curtain (because he has scars and burn marks on part of his face and body and feels he is a monster) while watching her dance and strip for him as he takes care of himself. Alexis is not suppose to look at him, but she does. On her way out he grabs her by her neck to punish her (and leaves marks) because she did not follow the rules and decides he needs to know her name, he is drawn to her but decide to let her go. So fast forward a few days, her pimp takes her and her sister out to dinner because they are celebrating? The sister notices the marks on Alexis neck gets really upset and disappears during dinner. Alexis realizes she is gone and starts searching, when she gets back to her apartment she finds finds a note that Viktor has her and she needs to back to his castle. The sister was stealing from him to make him pay for hurting Alexis, kind of silly. Also explain to me how she magically knew where he lived and how she got there! Viktor uses this as a way to get Alexis to stay and when the choices are calling the police or she stays in her place, Alexis trades herself for her sister freedom. Spoilerish.... My problems: 1)Okay so while they are getting closer and he knows she is worried about her sister and he knows they are in danger, why did he not have her come stay there and keep her safe too? Instead they both thought leaving her to fend for herself was better, they never said but I am guessing because she is younger she is 15/16 years old? 2)When her sister gets kidnapped, did he really turn into a pansy and let Alexis go by herself to rescue her? Alpha males do what they do to protect not put their tail between their legs. He kept saying he would die for her but just lets her leave because she needs to do this alone and does not want him to get hurt, lost some respect there. 3)Alexis gets a semi automatic from her pimp who gives her a 5 min crash course and turns into Rambo? Takes out a bunch of seasoned mafia men all by herself and saves her sister? Then she in turn saves Viktor and outsmarts the rest of them. She is an 18 year old hooker when did she get special ops training? 4) Alexis takes out the head Mafia guy running this huge slave/prostitution ring that has been going on forever and everything they have been running from is done? No second in command? When does that ever happen. So they are left alone to have a happily ever after, nope not happening. Her Pimp just wants her to be happy and let's her walk away and now they are all freinds, really? Writing was not bad, there was just too much that was just to far out there and not believable.
