I used this for the third time on Sunday, and Sunday evening when I took Jackson for a walk, for a few seconds, he began to stagger and seemed to be having trouble talking steps forward. It lasted a few seconds and it hasn’t happened since. Fast-forward to this morning. I’m online trying to find a new toothpaste for him and I come across one that contains tea tree oil, like this shampoo. One reviewer raised the red flag about tea tree oil being poisonous to dogs, so I did a little investigating and sure enough, it absolutely is! The trick was to google “tea tree oil & poison”! It never occurred to me that a shampoo designed to be an alternative to off-the-shelf shampoos full of chemicals could actually contain a poison. In hindsight, the symptoms of “inability to walk” and “walking drunk” were exactly what Jackson was exhibiting after his bath and I will never use a product with tea tree oil again. BEWARE OF TEA TREE OIL!
