I hesitated to order the Instant Pot 7-in-1 because of several recent bad reviews about its longevity, but I ordered it anyway and hoped for the best. It turned out to be a piece of junk. I did the initial test run with water and the steam function. That went well so I decided to make a stew. With 8 minutes left on the timer, the control panel switched from 8 to On. There was a strange metallic smell. Then the float valve collapsed and steam started escaping from the exhaust vent. The user manual says this is a bad thing, so I hit Cancel and waited for all the steam to escape. I unplugged the Instant Pot and then plugged it in again only to discover the control panel was blank. This product could not make it through one regular use before the pressure control failed and the electrical fuse blew out. The most frightening part was the cooker housing developed a big dent near the base after the machine completely cooled. I returned it for a refund.
