For whom was this book actually written?
This book doesn't tick any boxes for children. or for me, a grandmother. I gave it two stars becauseI love the illustrator's work. Neither my grown sons, who have children, nor my husband, are going to read this in spite of the fact that it's addressed to Dads. Why would they. This was a private gift of a poem, apparently, from the author to her husband, as the ads said, and it should have remained private.. For example, who are you going to read this to or with? It's addressed to a dad. But adults do not read these books. And for a child with no Dad, like one in my family, it's not going to make any sense at all.
