I thought I would be brilliant and solve my slow drain myself. I inserted the plastic snake into my tub drain. I pulled - without a lot of force - on the handle and OOPS, the darling thing broke off inside the drain. Let me repeat that. IT BROKE OFF INSIDE THE DRAIN. The snake provided by Drano BROKE OFF INSIDE THE DRAIN. Well, if I didn't have a clog before, I certainly did now. First question I had: does Drano have a kickback scheme with plumbers? I would love to send Drano my plumber's bill for CUTTING THE PIPE TO REMOVE THE SNAKE PROVIDED BY DRANO, but I've decided that I'm just cutting my losses and avoiding Drano at all costs. And, yes, I was shouting.
