This is the worst adaptation of a Clancy book, even worse than The Sum of All Fears. The attempt to contemporize the story fails by lacking character development and creating new characters and changing situations such as the character of Greer who is as bland and boring without much emotional range than someone reading a telephone book. The story is watered down and changed to shape a political ideology of fear of Russia.
