I opened the bed up today to clean the covers, and the inside only contains 4 inches of memory foam. The rest is just beige egg-carton style foam that you can buy at a local hardware store. I'm very disappointed since I originally paid $400 for the mattress because it was a "memory foam 12-inch mattress" supposedly. The bed was always very stiff, and now I know why. I'll look elsewhere for a bed next time, too bad.
