This tumbler is meant to run for days at a time. I couldn't trust this to run for a couple hours. From the time I first plugged it in, it would lockup and stop spinning. There is a fundamental problem with the rotating shaft, it has a clear soft plastic hose over it that is necessary for the barrels to have traction. This plastic tube is pulled to one end were it is pressed into the stationary case. Causing the hose to wear away and bind up. Eventually it locks up and stops rotating. The motor continues running with a heavy load, the motor gets very, very hot. I had to return it. I replaced it with the "Tru-square Metal Products Model A-R2 Kit Rock Tumbler". I've been running this rock tumbler for over a week with Zero problems.
