I was very hopeful about this product, especially with the ratings. Now I'm wondering how many of them are actual ratings. I purchased this because one of my car's tires was a bit low after a recent cold front. I figured it would be good to have this on hand in those types of situations rather than having to go to the nearest gas station. The product came in quickly and was well packed. It was very lightweight and seemingly well put together. I reviewed the instructions and went to plug it into my car. Everything lit up as it should, and I even hooked it up to the tire and the pressure reading was accurate within 0.5 psig. Once I set it to the pressure it needed to be and flipped it on, it shorted out instantly. I thought this was odd, and my first instonct was to review the instructions once more and check the voltage output on my car. The plug on my car was the correct rating and I had followed the instructions to a T, so nothing wrong there. Upon looking at the fuse on the device itself, I noticed that it had broken instantly, which was quite surprising. But surely that happens from time to time, right? I was still trying to convince myself that this was within normal ranges, and defects do happen from time to time. So I changed the fuse with the extra one provided in the kit and tried it again. This time I hooked it up to my husband's car thinking that despite the voltage being correct, surely it was my car that was too powerful since it was the newer one of the two. Nope, the same exact thing happened. As soon as I flipped it on, it killed instantly. I've already returned this for a full refund because I followed every instruction to the letter and it died on me twice. I do not recommend this product at all, and I strongly recommend someone do their research prior to purchasing because there was no reason for this device to be dying as often and as quickly as it was when every step was followed properly. I would excuse the occasional mishap, but not mutiple incidents in a row on the same equipment.
