Low quality quackary
I haven't used the formula but know a little about what she is talking about.
I was curious because I have collagen building issues so am on the look out and I've gotten inundated with beauty 'secret formulas' lately...so I wanted to see where this went and watch the tactics having studied psychology.
First warning on any product being sold is if they are going to tell you something 'im a moment' & string you along AND tap in and feed feels of shame and hopelessness. They are making you feel low so you are succeptible to what they sell it is Advertising & psychology used at it's worst.
It's awful.
The amounts and quality in the product are cr@p...and it is WAY over priced. You could buy quality individual components (and more of them) for the price.
In general, with most supplements (and medication) there is usually an amount of time it takes for them to work. You need to gin MOST things 90 days. Immediately for day valarian, melatonin and caffeine...
So check if what you are taking is immediate effect (like valarian) or longer term (like CoQ10 or St John's wart).
Also look for side-effect like poth of those can effect birth control and St Johnswart is a good antidepressant, but can trigger mania in bipolar.
Any herb you buy should ideally be standardized. That means it's active component is measured across batches to actually be there and of the stated amount.
Saw Palmetto 320 mg standardized Does block DHT in clinical trials.
Look how little is in this...
All of the proprietary ingredients are 400 mg (silica is often used in food and medicine to keep it from clumping. It could be 98% silica.)
Saw Palmetto definenly can help with hairloss and probably has something to do with estrogen and collagen (I'm going to look at studies but I did a shallow dive).
Collagen Peptides are GREAT. You can get a big ol jar of the flavorless powder and I mix mine into my morning coffee and evening tea. There are all kinds of studies on it benefits for your body.
I'm not sure why you would need extra lyseine as you will get a lot in a powdered peptides supplement as it is a building block of protein & that is what collagen peptides are. Broken down protein building blocks you don't need to digest. But hey. It sounds good.
Biotin (a b vitamin) does have some properties that help collagen production.
The minerals listed too are also involved in collagen synthesis, but are probably found in a good multiple.
You just need to make sure you are getting you optimal daily amount.
The RDA is the minimum you need not to get sick from deficiency, but not necessarily the amount needed to function at your best.
The Linus Pauling institute out of an Oregon university is an Excellent resource for vitamins and minerals.
Lastly, just safety. You want to make sure any supplement is using some checker like hanging a USP or GMP seal. There are also other third party certifiers that are trusted and they will be listed on the bottle and you can Google them. But USP and GMP are big ones.
On collagen and hair in particular, your skin cells have a life cycle. It takes a month to see .5 inch of hair growth. It is going to take time to rebuild structure.
You need to give things a good 12weeks at least. Look at the clinical studies to see how long someone had to be on saw Palmetto before they saw the stop of hair loss and also the beginning of hair growth.
Herbs and creams that have studies done behind them are what you want to look for.
Personally I found a big difference in my skin after I started using Babyface products & I went with them because they are using ingredients that studies back in the appropriate quantities...and they have links to the studies on their site.
I'm sure there are other great companies too.
But their CS also told me it would take at least 12 weeks for most products.
I can already attest to Collagen Peptides for many thingd, including osteoporosis when combined with MCHC calcium.
But anyway I just wanted to givey thoughts on that infomercial on YouTube (and since I watched it I am going to have to.do.damage control because they think I watch for the wrong reasons.
I'm going to look more thoroughly at saw Palmetto and some other ingredients here.
That is how I learned to evaluate a supplement anyways.
