I bought this after a lot of reading and research, have tried different yarns with it, found red heart 4 seems to work best...but can use slightly bulkier yarns as long as watching it. 3 weeks and have already broke a black "needle" Thank you tube videos for helping me to figure out how to use this machine and change needles, directions are useless. Would never pay full price as it is all plastic and I can tell that I will need a crank gear replaced soon. Not totally in love with it but it's ok for what I am using this for. Would I buy again...no. UPDATE purchased in Aug 2018....it's now Nov 2018. Have had to replace 3 black needles and 1 white, machine jams at random (won't advance to next needle) bunch up the yarn (even the thin ones) crank gears still sound like they are being stripped and no way to get to them to check if tightened properly, wasting my time removing the yarn due to the bunching problem. Have not made a whole lot with this, so I am VERY disappointed with this overpriced piece of plastic.
