I was so excited to get the touch Kindle and so disappointed when I began using it. The screed was darker and the text harder to read. I just had cataract surgery and was thrilled that my keyboard Kindle was so easy to read. The Touch reading is a challenge -- even with the same font, spacing, etc. The Touch screen isn't as sensitive as I thought it would be and it's much harder to navigate than the older versions. I may eventually try the $79 model just to have a lighter read. I only read on Kindle. I immediately returned the Touch and am happy to be back reading on the keyboard model. Maybe the IPad spoiled me (touch-wise). I expected more from Amazon.
