The chemicals triggered terrible headaches. Disclaimer: I do have epilepsy (occipital lobe seizures with migraine onset), so smells, foods, etc. trigger me and may not affect others. I have a 3000 sqft home, so they were not in a small area. I decided to get some essential oils and replace the chemicals inside, and I LOVE the warming units without those chemicals. I'm including a picture, but you just need a small knife to pop the tops off, dump out the solution, and after they thoroughly dry, refill them with essential oils that you love, replace the tops making sure to hear the snap. After you re-insert to the warming units, they'll emit your favorite scents without chemicals. I found a large 4oz bottle of lavender oil on Amazon for $12. Used only a small portion to completely fill all four sections.
