Initially it was nice, but then within 1 month of ownership the blender is now dead. I now have a paper weight for a blender and cant figure out how to return the damaged item. UPDATE: So its been a few weeks and I have to update this review. So after about the first week of blending I noticed there was this burnt rubber type smell coming from inside the blender. Didn't really think anything of it. The smell would happen whenever the blender was in use. It didn't matter what I was blending, how much was in the containers it always had this horrible smell of burnt rubber/machinery. So this morning I am blending and while running the low puree setting I hear a loud snap come from inside the blender. The blender is now totally unresponsive and doesn't work. This blender was great while it worked but I feel like I received a defective model. I have a lot of friends who have ninjas and some of them have had their blenders for years. This one didn't last me longer than 3 weeks. Downgrading from 5 starts to 3.
