I spent this morning today installing on ethernet cable around my house so that we'd have hard-wire access in different rooms (our house builders just put RJ11's in there). Once I was done, I tried to use my network tester to verify everything, only to find that these RJ45's are too long (I assume). They don't click into place. You can push them into the ethernet port but they never click, so a small amount of pull and they just pop out. I tried this with several items as well as my tester (back of two different routers for example) and had the same issue with both. I went to Home Depot and bought some other RJ45 connectors to test whether the issue was these or my crimper. No, the ones I bought at HD worked just fine, no problems at all.... So now I get spend another couple of hours re-crimping network cables I thought I'd already taken of.... such fun....
