Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I have purchased this filter at Lowe's, Home Depot and Amazon, so I know it isn't just a bad batch, but each time, the filter only lasts about 3 months, not the 6 that it advertises. We have city water that is not heavily contaminated, so that isn't the problem either. I just think they really don't make this filter well. I still have to buy it as there aren't really any alternatives unless I buy a new fridge (not going to happen!). GE needs to do a little quality check on this product.
