I'm a bit peeved over this product. I purchased this item for my sister who lives in Gloucester, MA, 37 miles from the Boston area TV towers in Needham MA. Half of that distance is over open water (Massachusetts Bay), and the skyline of Boston (25 miles) can be viewed on the horizon. I purchased two antennas that had different advertised ranges from this supplier, thinking they were different items. When I received the two "different" antennas, turned out they were exactly the same item, but one had a sticker covering the SKU code with an "updated" SKU code. My intention was to try both and see which one worked for my sister. I immediately returned one since it was quite obvious they were the same (note the descriptions were different on the Amazon site). I drove the 3 hours to my sisters apartment with this antenna thinking it would work easily, after all the description had a range of "80 to 100 miles" (more on that description below). Her apartment is on the top of a hill 100 feet or so above the harbor and open water. I tried 3-4 different positions for the antenna, including 2 different windows, and the antenna picked up nothing. I should mention that the TV works fine, she had a "dead" cable TV hookup in the apt, and the channel search still picked up the one available cable company info channel from that cable. In other words what I'm saying is the auto search on the TV was working fine, but once hooked up this antenna picked up nothing at all. My other surprise occurred just now when I decided to review this item, I clicked on the item name from the "My Orders" section to make this review, in the My orders section it says what the description was 6 days ago when I purchased this antanna: [2019 Latest] Amplified HD Digital TV Antenna Long 65-80 Miles Range – Support 4K 1080p & All Older TV's Indoor Powerful HDTV Amplifier Signal Booster - 18ft Coax Cable/USB Power Adapter BUT NOW, just 6 days later it says: [Newest 2019] Amplified HD Digital TV Antenna Long 120+ Miles Range – Support 4K 1080p and All Older TV's Indoor Powerful HDTV Amplifier Signal Booster - 18ft Coax Cable/USB Power Adapter I just bought the item 6 days ago! And now they've changed the description to 120+ miles!!??!?! WTF? This does not work at 37 miles! Not impressed at all. I'm returning the second one today.
