Breaks easily, manufacturer won't honor warranty.
This is only my second food processor since I left home in the early 1990s. I had a cuisinart processor from the late 90s, it was the cheapest one that was 7 cups. It lasted until 2015, when I bought this as a replacement, since the old one's blade started to come apart (turns out it was a recall, and if I'd waiting a couple months, I could have gotten it fixed for free). So I thought I'd buy a nice one since I seem to keep them for almost 20 years. This one is great when it works, but the bowl is made of very cheap, thin plastic. The top is held on by a very small plastic tab. After a couple of years, these tabs broke off in two pieces, and now the bowl and lid won't close, you have to hold them down for the machine to work. I looked into a replacement, it says it has a 3 year warranty, and they told me that "parts" weren't included in the warranty. What does that mean? It has a 10 year warranty on the motor, so what is the 3 year warranty for? A new bowl and lid cost more than half the price of a new machine. Forget it, Cuisinart, I'm done. My next food processor will be one that the manufacturer stands behind. You've lost a customer for life.
