Normally stuff I buy at Amazon is first rate and I usually attribute as crazy people who have lengthy complaints about the stuff they buy. And Breville is a reputable company. I have their juicer ice cream maker and blender and have been very happy with them. But the first time I tried to make dough with it the tip of the dough blade attachment melted the plastic retaining hole in the top cover of the food processor. I had forcibly remove the dough blade and peel off the melted plastic. The. When I called Customer Service they told me only the motor of the food processor was under warranty and I would have to buy an extra cover on my own. Admittedly that part is only $17 not including shipping or tax but it galls me that they won't honor their warranty. I'm probably just one in a thousand but I gotta wonder why they've run out of replacement lids and I have to get on a waiting list.
