Flip n' Slide Not the Best Rat Trap But Good Bait For Consumers
I bought this device based on a review from pest expert Shawn Woods from a youtube channel called mousetrapmonday. I really like Shawn and love his reviews but I'm going to have to give this device the thumbs down. I've been employing many different rodent trapping devices lately due to the increased population of rodents which I attribute to restaurant closings during the past year's pandemic and the pests seeking alternative food resources. I've lived here 30 years and never seen this. I set 3 of these devices up in different locations on my property with game cameras watching them. Also to be clear I bought directly from Rinne (made in USA by the inventor) due to all the counterfeiting going on. For the first week I set the Flip n' Slides in different places on my property with the trap doors taped shut and baited them so the rodents would think they were safe. I won't bother showing those feeding times due to the fact the doors were blocked. Unfortunately rats are very smart and they instinctively seem to know exactly how to position and brace themselves on this device so they can feed to their hearts content. I slathered the roof of the Flip n' Slide with peanut butter and embedded black oil sunflower seeds in the PB. They absolutely licked it so clean I almost couldn't even tell PB or sunflower seeds had been there. I am going to try some food oil on the trap door to see if this helps but I'm not so confident.
