I am a professional chef, I had just received a $60 dollar knife and, the knife being Damascus, I wanted to try different sharpeners to test which one was convenient, and had the best edge. I use most commonly a diamond strike, to sharpen in my kitchen. Out of the 5 sharpeners I tried, this sharpener actually ruined the blades edge, ruining the rest of the testing on my 3 other sharpeners. Chipped a 100x folded Damascus knife, in 3 different locations, which a inconsistent bite caused, besides that the sharpener edge, couldn’t cut or skin paper/ or a tomato. I would file a claim for either a refund on my knife/ or the sharpener, but why bother with such a cheap and inconsistent product?
