I was really excited about this fountain for my cats. It was adorable and worked well. However, my cats never would drink out of it. At first, I thought they were just scared of the flowing water. But after owning for a week, I opened it to clean it and I discovered the filter and pot was full of mold! There's no reason mold should be growing in this after a week of use unless it was contaminated before buying. I thoroughly cleaned the fountain on arrival before use. I will be returning this and looking for a healthier option for my cats.
