I believe this is one product that must be viewed prior to purchase. Visual appeal may differ for each person. This unit is more expensive than most thus expectation for what you get is higher. What I received was disappointing. It was almost all white with actual dirt markings. It looked like a dirty rock. After contacting the company whose communication was excellent along with their willingness to ensure satisfaction, another unit was shipped. This one too was lacking, especially for the price. I will include pictures of both so you can decide for yourself. On a positive note the packing was superb! The package was incredible, very beautifully done. Also the actual light and dimming unit was high tech and top notch. Not a simple dimming variable resistor, this was an electronic unit. Very nice and worked flawlessly. I believe the added cost goes directly to the packaging and electronic dimmer control. The actual salt rock was disappointing. Perhaps there is a large amount of variability in natural stones and I simply received two units that were not visually appealing, especially for the higher price point. I will leave that decision up to you but as a result I firmly believe the actual unit you buy should be seen first. I went out and bought a larger one at a store for much less money. It looked incredible BUT only had a cheap dimming device. This review was based on my experience from the two units I received, yours may differ.
