Made my cats sick
I've become very suspicious of Blue Buffalo cat foods. For about 3 or 4 years I have purchased this dry food for my 2 cats. I rotate through a variety of both dry and canned foods and have fed Wilderness dry cat food intermittently with other products in between. I had been pretty happy with the grain free chicken dry food, I thought it was a good product, until my most recent purchase last fall. I noted immediately after feeding a bowl of it out of the freshly opened bag that both cats were not well. I chocked it up to circumstance, but kept them off it for a few weeks. Tried it again. Observed them again, and they were not well. Listless. Unhappy faces. Going outside a lot. Lying down in a peculiar, nose out, flat on their stomachs manner. I waited another couple of weeks. Tried the food once again and same issue. I threw the bag away. Then, not really thinking about it or connecting the dots, I ordered a couple of cases of two different kinds of Blue Buffalo canned cat food. I guess I assumed that the dry cat food problem was an anomaly. I'd ordered the Blue Buffalo chicken pate, and the "Freedom" indoor canned cat food (chicken). And the SAME thing happened. Cats not well. I have never had a problem with cats being ill from food, and I order many different kinds of food. So now I am throwing away two cases of canned cat food--I don't even want to give it away to anyone, because I don't wany any cats getting sick fromit. I've subsequently done a google search and have found a lot of complaints against this company. So please beware.
