TLDR; Tested on 3 PCs and a PS4. Dead mic. Super common issue. Don't buy if you want to use the mic. Do yourself a favor and look up "logitech pro x mic not working" for a second. Look at all of the results. This headset has a VERY common problem with the microphone just not working. It's both a hardware problem AND a software problem. In my particular case, it's definitely a hardware problem. I plugged in the headset via the USB and the driver installed as usual. Headset worked fine immediately. The microphone however did not work. After trying many variations of installing and uninstalling both the driver and G-Hub, restarting my computer, making sure no apps that used the headset or mic were open, and using other cables, the mic still did not work. I tried this again on 2 other computers and got the same results. Then I tested it on my PS4, where there should be no issues with software. Same result: headset worked but not the mic. That confirms that for me it's a hardware problem. After reading how many others have issues on the software side as well, I decided that this was not worth the effort of replacing, hoping the hardware works, and then troubleshooting to get the software/driver to work.
