This Guide Gear Portable Folding Hammock is very dangerous! The main mounting points for the ends of the hammock are made of cheap plastic that breaks suddenly without warning. This happened the first time we used this item. The occupant dropped to ground very hard, suffering a serious tailbone injury and several days of severe pain. The mechanical failure occurred so quickly the occupant did not have any time to prepare for the sudden drop to the ground. See attached photos of both sides of the broken pieces. The design is good; it is the cheap construction materials that are bad. These critical pieces should be made of metal for safety reasons. Metal is stronger and does not break suddenly without warning. Guide Gear Portable Folding Hammock
