I am very sensitive to airborne chemicals. I bought this since it said "Formulated with essential oils, plant-derived and other thoughtfully chosen ingredients for products that are powerful against dirt and grime while being a pleasure to use." I should have done my homework. After the first use washing a load, I returned to the laundry room to transfer clothes from the washer to the dryer. The laundry room had a pervasive lavender smell which normally being essential oil would not bother me. So I wondered why I was starting to cough and become congested from being in my laundry room. I wear lavender essential oil and use it in my bath from time to time and home made deodorant, so that probably wasn't the culprit. I went online to ewg.org and found the ingredients in Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Laundry Detergent, Lavender earned it a "C" rating. It has ingredients known to cause respiratory concern (along with an "F" rating for endocrine disruptors and more. I need look at all ingredients in products and not let their marketing inform me.
