We bought this litter box thinking it was going to be great for our cat with the grating and the separate container for the poop. We were wrong. We put it together exactly how we were supposed to. The grating pops up when you're turning the litter box so all the litter including the poop goes UNDER the grating. When the grating DID stay in place, while turning the box to filter the litter, the poops would not always go inside the tray. A lot of them ended up behind the tray and then they'd fall right back into the litter again when you turn the box back upright. It doesn't always keep the litter inside the box. The hole to enter the litter box is so huge that our cat was able to trail the litter, and some of the poop, back outside the box and onto the floor... But at least most of the litter and poop stay inside... I'm absolutely dissatisfied with this litter box. I might as well just use the regular kind and inhale cat poop fumes!
