Don't bother with this show
This was my book series growing up. and I have worked in film so I knew I had to expect a lot of changes to even attempt to get any part of the 14+ book series onto the screen
Updated for the complete season one
I had so many hopes for this show. Every one of them were dashed against the rocks. I did not expect a direct retelling of the story.
The good:
Some of the performances are very good, and the visuals are pretty
The Bad: This series is so poorly written that it is insulting. None of the character motivations make any sense. The story makes little to no sense. The choice to have each director do two episodes made for a disjuncted and pointless narrative.
I will not be returning to watch Season 2
