Pros & Important Con
This is a nice tablet for children, but it has it's pros and cons naturally. One of the cons is pretty significant in my case, but I'll let you read that below. If you're expecting a small tablet, then this will surprise you. It's a fairly large tablet, but that's a plus for me as I have always had a thing for bigger displays. My son definitely enjoys this tablet and it keeps him away from my work equipment as I use a lot of tech. There are a lot of things going well for this device in terms of size, display, expandable memory, parental controls, durable case, and the fact that it uses a USB C charger. HOWEVER, the major flaw I ran into was the fact that it wouldn't connect to my protected WiFi despite me using the correct login credentials. I attempted multiple times and then factory reset the device and tried again without any luck. Chalking this down as a faulty WiFi card, I had it replaced, but the new device came with the EXACT SAME ISSUE. So, I tested a theory out and created a Guest WiFi on my network that had absolutely no security in place. No password at all. The device connected with no issue. I don't know how they managed it, but if you have a WiFi password it very well might not connect. In my line of work, this is a major security flaw as I live in an apartment complex and work from home. I intended on the device using our WiFi Internet so that my son can watch his shows on the device. Pros: - Great Sized Tablet - Good Parental Controls - Expandable Memory - Great Case - Type C Charging - Good Battery Life MAJOR FLAW: (Tested on 2 Tablets) - Would not connect to a password protected WiFi Internet even with correct password entered. Had to be put on an unprotected Guest WiFi. I feel this poses a security risk. All-in-all, I could recommend this to those that don't worry about others connecting to their home network. However, if you work from home or worry about your network privacy, then I cannot recommend this product and that's why it received the rating I provided. If you find this review helpful, feel free to let me know. Update: The touch display stopped working officially as of yesterday. The only way to use this tablet now is by plugging in a mouse and keyboard that run off the same dongle. So now my son's ability to use the tablet has been limited severely.
