Not one piece of practical advice to be found. Here is a list of the IMPRACTICAL ideas: -Play basketball with them (I'm a 48 year old 5 feet tall white woman. Cmon.) -Let them graffiti up a wall in your room. (I don't know about you, but I'm not allowed to repaint my room.) -Buy a pair of the hot new gym shoes to show how relatable you are. (My shoes are on pointe. It didn't help.) -Develop a class fist bump. (Again, this smacks of cultural appropriation from an old white woman.) -Start a focus group during lunch to let the kids tell you what they don't like about the class. (They didn't want to miss lunch with their friends.) I 100% agree that the neoindigenous student deserves to have their unique needs met, but this book was a complete sham.
