Very Deceptive! If you purchased this product thinking it would be an easy fill from the top - as I did - forget it! The screw on top is just for show. It does not come off and the packaging so indicates this information if very tiny printing on the paper which wraps around the bottom. I had a 2-1/2 gallon water dispenser which was heavy and awkward to refill. My thinking was that this one would fill from the top, eliminating the need to lift the 21 lb bottle of water. Recall water weighs 8.4 lbs per gallon so the weight adds up quickly. No such luck. I now have 33.6 lbs of water to lift vs 21 lbs. Had I known that information, I would not have purchased the product. Of course, if you are strong and lifting 33 pounds of water is no big deal for you, then you would like the product. My husband, for example, would not think 33 lbs is any big deal at all. I do, however, and I am the one who refills and changes the water. I am quite certain the company has sold many of these units to people who believed the mason jar-like lid was functional. This illusion is an excellent example of deceptive marketing if ever there was one.
