Like other reviewers have stated the cap has an awful chemical stench to it which kind of defeats the whole purpose of buying a glass bottle and being chemical/bpa free. Other then that it works as promised. I haven't dropped it from a high altitude but have knocked/kicked it over during a workout and the sleeve definitely protects. *Updated*:It's been about 2 months and I can't use this water bottle any longer. After about a week the cap had an awful mildew smell. Normally this happens in water bottles after a year or so? I clean the bottle regularly. I tried everything to get the mildew smell out. Soaked over night, removed the plastic ring to clean, baking soda....it would smell fine for a few hours then after my workout the smell would be back ( which means the mold/mildew is still there)
