Hershey's has replaced Special Dark, which has existed for decades, with a totally different product. They're still trying to call it Special Dark for sales purposes, but that's a lie. Just like when Coca-Cola tried changed their product (now called New Coke) to something new but tried to keep the same name. The packages now selling are marked "New Formula". The new product is no longer a blend, it's just dutched cocoa, and it's not dark, it's red. If the photo on the product page doesn't feature a "New Formula" sticker, Amazon has not updated their web site. Don't be fooled like I was. New Formula just plain sucks. The taste is not good, the product is sub-standard, all the recipes that depended Special Dark are ruined. This is not the Special Dark that we've known for decades. Hershey's should just admit they've discontinued it, and sell this under a different name, because this is fraud. Or better yet, just bring back the original formula. Amazon should stop carrying it until Hershey's fixes this.
