This is the fourth one of these we've bought over the years. We usually get a year or more out of them, but the dogs (and cats) don't let them last too long. This is the first one we've bought of this brand and is the first one I've installed that DID NOT CLOSE automatically. Often, after a while, the top middle will sag and then they stop closing tight by themselves. Solution has always been to pull that middle top up a bit, adding a new tack (or staple) as necessary. Knowing this, I always install them with the top middle just a bit higher so they close easier. As you can see from the pictures, this isn't the problem as the top two magnets make contact by themselves. The rest sort of fly around in the breeze until you close them manually. If I didn't already have it stapled to my door frame I'd send this one back. As it stands now, I'd highly recommend a different brand and certainly will not buy this one again.
