I was an avid subscriber when Essence Magazine was first issued so I jumped at the chance to renew my subscription at a more affordable rate. Unfortunately, the magazine has changed and evolved to more ads than articles. I remember recipes. Poems, short stories, etc none of which are in the newer version. I’m disappointed but heck it was only $5.
