With the high level of stress of the last few years, it has been important to support the adrenal glands. I got these to do just that in our house. WHAT ARE THESE PILLS LIKE? These pills are a pressed pill. They have a nice smell to them, it is not overwhelming at all. There are rather large, but slick so they go down easily. WHAT IS IN THESE? These pills have fermented organic ginger root, probiotic blend, gum arabic, palm oil, guar gum, organic sunflower lecithin, and tapioca maltodextrin. BUT WHAT IS THIS????? And one more ingredient- DEXTROSE? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? What does dextrose have to do with this pill which you swallow and do not taste? The fact that these have dextrose in them makes me not want to take them. My husband continues, but I stopped. There are other sources of this stress reliever without dextrose used as a filler. HOW DO THEY PERFORM? I did not do as well with these as with other supplements with ashwagandha in them. I have taken this for a while, but something in this blend does not sit well with me, so I stopped taking them - plus sugar is a turn off. My husband does seem to get in a better mood, so I will let him finish them. THE BOTTOM LINE These have great promise, but the inclusion of sugar and negative reactions of me to these made me stop taking them. My husband does okay with them, but neither of us like that they have dextrose in them and we will not purchase again in the future. MY RATING Two stars. Dextrose in a pressed capsule like this is ridiculous. Another rating factor.. I have taken ashwagandha over time and never had this kind of negative reaction to it.
