The original Action Bible was great. This one is just added artwork that has half the effort of the original. Some of the great art from the previous version was replaced with subpar "upgraded" pages, as I have uploaded here for comparison. The "new" stories are just huge splash pages that aren't pleasing to the eye and don't even match the old art. I loved the original Action Bible for years, even after I turned atheist. Despite the missing stories. This newer edition also edited out certain things just to make the Action Bible more politically correct, such as hinting the people of Sodom wanting to "have their way" with the beautiful angels. The line was changed to "Let's rob them and teach them a lesson". If you're going to teach your kids the Bible, there's no avoiding "mature" content forever. From that, to killing and other things unless you want them to keep reading material like this for as long as they live. It is not the same story when it is sugarcoated. I highly recommend the original Action Bible over this one, unless what I have stated is not that important to you.
