If you enjoy books about strong women, this book is not for you. The writing is overdone with tedious descriptions and indepth analysis that really is unnecessary and the characters have no backbone or sense of self-preservation. The men are weak characters and rather bland. I can't believe this book was rated so high. I chose it because the plot described a woman who was left during her honeymoon with no explanation but by the time you get to why you find it ridiculous and cowardly. How selfish does a man have to be to leave without an explanation and still the worman loves him. I found the book to be irritating, not enjoyable.
