New version disappointing as it requires a hidden app registration and payment for the complete version/information.
The first of these books that disappointed me. Not because it isn't a wonderful source of information, but because the authors/publishers have decided to limit the information you can get in the book and refer you to their app. They proclaim it as free, but after you buy the book, find out lodging information is only available on their app, you have to register for their app, then you find out that it is very limiting so they want you to pay another $7 to have complete access to their app. They try to sound clever but in all reality it is just another way to get more money. I have purchased others and had the latest version of the their Maui ebook, which was not limiting. Going to Maui in April I thought I would get their latest and greatest version that just came out, but in the book form which is more expensive and requires the app for all the info. I am hoping the new ebook version has all the latest information and does not require the app payment for more. I am not going to buy it, but it is just something for you to think about if you are considering the book purchase. Again, all of their books are really nice, I am just disappointed that they have a hidden way of trying to extract more money from you.
