Bought this little dryer almost exactly two years ago and for all of that time it has functioned adequately - it's not very fancy and I didn't expect more than that from it. However - I did not expect it to start smoking very seriously - as if it intended to burst into flame - which is what it did tonight. No fire, thank goodness, but it is now a dead duck. For the money I suppose it did okay, but I would caution potential owners to watch it carefully as mine was likely not the only one of these dryers with this potentially dangerous defect. Won't be replacing it with another Conair ....
