Stay away from this faucet -- and Delta.
I wanted to love this faucet. The features seemed so promising. There are a couple of MAJOR FAULTS AND DEFECTS that are SUPER INCONVENIENT.
First, the base and the handle are touch on/off. That means when you want to adjust the temp while the water is running, it shuts the water off on you. Trust me, this gets annoying. It also means that when you brush against the base of the faucet (like when you're wiping the counter) it'll turn the faucet on (and soak an unsuspecting arm - only annoying until you learn to not put your arm under the faucet while cleaning the sink area). Having the handle touch on/off just doesn't make sense. If I can touch the handle, why would I need the touch technology anyway?
My faucet also has a RIDICULOUSLY INCONVENIENT DEFECT - the water won't turn on sometimes -- several times per day in fact! Imagine being in the middle of cooking a big dinner and not having access to water. You tap the water on, but nope. No water, nothing. Denied. Now you're stuck just waiting by a sink or tapping or worse, crawling under the sink to try moving wires around for a minute or two until your faucet magically turns the water back on again. Inconvenient, no? Several times a day we have to use the sink in the guest bathroom because our kitchen faucet won't turn on.
We are trying to solve the problem through emails with Delta Customer Service but are getting the run around. "it must be the battery". Nope. "OK, take a dozen pictures of the sink from every possible angle". etc. Super inconvenient. Just send a tech or a replacement. This is where KOHLER excels. They'll send you a replacement no questions asked. HOW COULD I RECOMMEND THIS FAUCET? Stick with Kohler or the old-fashioned hey-my-water-turns-on-when-it's-supposed-to kind of faucet.
BOTTOM LINE: The touch technology would be awesome (it really is very useful) if it weren't on the handle (or it actually worked when you want it to). Delta Customer Service is a joke. Clearly, my faucet is a lemon, but somehow I have to prove what's wrong with it. (BTW, pretty sure it's the solenoid - definitely sure it's NOT the battery!)
While I appreciate the touch technology, IMHO this product fails. Touch technology is supposed to make life more convenient, not less so. I cannot recommend this faucet or Delta products.
