We always clean our toys when our daughter is done playing. Just after a few months, we saw the toy started to grow black stuff and mold so we threw it away. I would stay away from this toy unless you only want it for a couple of months. It's hard to clean because the arms have holes that we are unable to clean. If the outside is looking like this, then imagine what the inside looks like since we are unable to clean the inside.
