Absolutely horrible! This was an expensive excuse for a slicker brush. I previously used a basic pet store slicker on my standard poodle for 14 years--never having to replace it. I now have 2 standard poodles and decided to invest in a quality slicker brush as I thought it would make the time-consuming task a lot easier. I read that 'better' slickers were easier on the dog and didn't pull on the hair so I bought this expensive slicker. It arrived; and with high expectations, I started brushing my dogs. I noticed no difference in the time or effort of brushing and there was absolutely NO DIFFERENCE in the end result. I've had this slicker for about 6 months and it has officially fallen apart, i.e. the entire section holding the pins is detaching around the perimeter of the base, making it USELESS! As soon as I click "submit" for this review, I will take steps for a refund. I regret giving a single star but there is no option for a negative star! NOTE: I generally don't write reviews; however, this product is so bad that I am compelled to do so. I am especially annoyed because the exorbitant price indicates a quality product.
