Beware of Potentially Dangerous Product
Slivers of metal are coming off the edge of the cutting blade that has not been properly de-burred by the manufacturer. This is not acceptable for a cooking instrument in my kitchen and could result in serious injury if anyone ingests these pieces of metal. This item is too dangerous to be on the market, since everyone might not notice the faulty cutting edge that will contaminate food with slivers of stainless steel.
If the product did not shed slivers of stainless steel, I would rate the item as 5 stars. It otherwise seems like good quality and reasonably priced. I plan to remove the burrs myself, then use the product once I make it safe. It is simpler for me to fix the defective item that should take less than 15 minutes to grind off the metal burrs than deal with the hassle of a return. I tried to attach a photo of the burrs so people know what to look for.
