I read through numerous reviews on this product before purchase. There were consistent complaints about the slide coming apart, but overall people left good reviews so I decided to get it. I bought this as a family Christmas gift and let the kids open it two days early. They have been enjoying it immensely. Today I noticed a seam on the blue part of the slide starting to unravel and open up. Upon further inspection, the exterior corner on that same seam was starting to come apart as well. I had to kick the kids out and deflate it before the areas completely opened up. There is so much air escaping from the larger area, which is several inches long, that it feels like someone is trying to blow out birthday candles. The patches will be completely useless since this is a seam issue and not a puncture. It will eventually open up in other areas along that same seam. Obviously this is a defect in craftsmanship. I am unable to contact customer service today since it is Christmas, and they are closed. The point of the matter is this. Even if customer service is amazing and has a representative personally walk a new one over from the factory with an apology card signed by every member of the production team, that still would not rectify this situation. I should not have to deal with this problem from a product two days out of the box. As a full-time nurse and single mother, I work hard for my money, and free time is in short supply. I expect a reputable company like Little Tikes to work equally hard in exchange for my hard earned money and time. It is an implied expectation that every consumer rightfully has. Was their quality control guy on his lunch break when this was passed through inspection? Merry Christmas kids! Enjoy your tarp.
