I am a Prime Member. Amazon.com has been advertising that they are offering 3-month trial Audible Memberships to Prime Members. So I signed up for the trial by downloading the app to my phone and putting in my Amazon.com Prime Membership information. No 3-month trial. Called Audible.com...they gave me the run around and said basically that because I didn't sign up for my trial membership via a specific link that is only available in some obscure location, I cannot get 3 month trial membership, I only get 30 days. They also said if I want to fix this issue I had to go to Amazon.com customer service to get it fixed. Contact Amazon.com customer service. They said just the opposite. They said the offer is not their offer, it is an Audible.com offer and that Audible.com would have to fix it. I'm inclined to believe Amazon.com because in the past, whenever I had an issue with anything on Amazon.com their customer service people fixed it immediately. The additional issue is that Audible.com membership is really no "deal." 1 download a month for the average price of any of their books? I borrow and listen to 5-10 books on CD a month for FREE from my local library. So exactly how is it a good deal to pay $15 a month (the average price for any of their recorded audio books) and you only get 1 audio book a month? I assure you that with the horrible customer service I have gotten from Audible.com, and the horrible deal that the $15 a month gets me, when I'm done listening to the one title I'm going to get with my trial membership I WILL be cancelling this membership in Audible. Bottom line, don't waste your time or energy until Audible figures out how to make their deal really worth the money.
